You are now on a quest to be the very best trainer in all the land! In your own, special way. I mean, everyone has their own thing they seek in the Pokemon world, right? Some want to gather badges. Other people participate in contests! Still others decide to devote their life to research and becoming a Pokemon Professor.


1. You're in a Pokemon battle! Is it a friendly battle? Is it a heated match between destined rivals? Or are you just mugging some preschoolers for their lunch money?

2. Either 1 went pretty well and you're just chillaxing, or 1 went pretty poorly and you're recuperating and healing up, or maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about when I say 1 because you didn't just fight a Pokemon battle. Regardless of the reasons, you are now at a Pokemon Center.

3. You are traveling on some route or another and enjoying the scenic vistas and the epic scenery of wherever you are. Or maybe you're getting ready to camp out for a while? Well. You're just stopping and smelling the metaphorical roses.

4. You are lost. So this is kind of like 3 except it's less enjoying the ride and more going oh crap what is this this is a cave I wasn't supposed to go into a cave was I? I can't use surf how am I supposed to get through this lake crap.

5. You're participating in a contest! You're getting ready to, you're appealing, you're sabotaging your competition, whatever it takes to get that ribbon.

6. You are somehow involved with a Pokemon Daycare. Maybe your Pokemon is expecting? Maybe you've got this...this egg you gotta haul about until it hatches. Or maybe you don't have enough cash to get your beloved Rattata back so now you're mugging preschoolers for their lunch money. It's a very dark and dire business you're involved with.

[Dipper isn't much of an offensive trainer, and both he and his pokemon know it. They're all pretty protective over him and his Mareep and Deerling fuss over him like worried mothers. It's embarrassing, really. He gets himself so wrapped up in the technical aspects of battling and training that he's been beaten before he can formulate his strategy. But, you know. ...he's working on it.
Other than working on training his partners, Dipper also aspires to be a Pokemon Professor one day.

[Spoopy forests are nothing new for tiny foxy things, especially forests that might be near the Mystery Shack. It's been awhile since she's seen any humans, but thankfully the Shack's traffic is more than enough for her to pick up on a scent. Guess who's following their nose on over?

Hopefully there's a treasure of tasty human food, or even over priced knickknacks. It's all good! All she knows is that someone better not slow her down.]

[Hiccup works at a dojo that helps trainers from far and wide who want to toughen up their Pokemon. As such, Hiccup's team is pretty strong from hard days of training, so beware if you want to take him on.

His little Bergmite, however, isn't exactly battle ready yet. It just recently hatched from an egg and seems pretty shy....but maybe if you're gentle it will warm up to you.]

[In a world inhabited by many psychic Pokemon, it wasn't uncommon to find humans with similar mental abilities. Gideon is one of these lucky individuals, a gifted child popular among the townsfolk for his performances that include his Pokemon. But he's also a rather skilled trainer, especially for his age, of course specializing in psychic types along with a ghost or two.
He aspires to convert the Tent of Telepathy, his performance space, into a gym and become the Pokemon League's youngest gym leader. All things considered, he probably has a decent shot... except for the fact he's not exactly the most graceful of losers.]

[Flora loves all sorts of Pokemon, but she has her Pikachu, Pidgeotto and Butterfree with her most of the time. But if there's one thing she liked about going on a Pokemon journey, it would be the routes. They always had certain Pokemon running through the tall grass, particular greenery that makes each route more beautiful than the last. One could say this was one of the better parts of a Pokemon Master's journey (though she personally did not like battling all that much, she still went for the badges). Of course, now she finds herself in the middle of a route, and with her Pikachu on her shoulder, she began doing some sightseeing, taking pictures and having a grand old time.

Of course, her being so into her sightseeing and picture-taking, she's not watching where she's going at all. She might end up accidentally crashing into someone.]

[Keats is a wandering trainer from a region he won't name who seems to be looking for a good story to write about for the magazine he works for - more often than not, though, he helps people with things as varied as getting back stolen Pokemon and driving away bullies. His Pokemon are hard-hitting and powerful despite the bookish and mild appearance of Keats himself, and he never stays in one place and never accepts any praise for what he's doing. What's his story?]

So this pretty much needed to happen. Let's go with 4.

[So Dib was lost. Very lost. Who knew that following mysterious glowing lights would lead you astray? Also, he'd lost the trail of said lights, which was really annoying.

And now his dad wasn't answering his C-gear on account of being busy, Gaz wasn't answering hers on account of Dib having not-so-accidentally destroyed some of her toys earlier, and when he tried to turn on his town map to see where he was, his Rotom had decided it was a GREAT time to possess it and short-circuit the thing. Again.

So now it was already dark out, he was plodding along something he was... kind of sure was a path, aided only by the dim, fickle light said ghost pokemon emitted. It was having a great time floating around everywhere except where he needed to see, too.]

Did you REALLY have to do that, Wisp? Really? Every single time-!

[Except then he just about walks straight into the older man, bouncing comically off of Keats's leg and falling over gracelessly.]

[There is a legend about a Pokemon that can enter dreams. While there are a number of Pokemon with connections to dreams, such as Munna and Musharna which eat dreams themselves, or the also legendary Darkrai, believed to create nightmares...
It is said this Pokemon can physically invade the dreams of people, as well as other Pokemon. Yet, so little is known about it, no one is sure if it even really exists. There's no reliable documentation, or sightings... essentially nothing at all.

There is a man that can probably be described as eccentric. Tall, lanky, yet broad-shouldered, he looks to be in his late 20s with tanned skinned, dark brown hair and a goatee. He wears a golden-yellow suit with accents that suggest a pyramid, and black pants, shoes, gloves, bowtie, eyepatch, and tophat. The hat isn't actually on his head, but seems to float slightly above it. Levitated by his Pokemon, perhaps.
These Pokemon being a team of Unown, never in Pokeballs, they simply float beside him. Those who have met this man more than once may have noticed that despite always being accompanied by Unown, they are rarely ever the same set.

But what do these two things have to do with each other?
Absolutely nothing at all.

Or at least, that's what he'd have you believe.]

[A legend, huh? That sounds right up Keats' alley, the perfect story for his magazine. Of course, like he believes such a Pokemon actually exists, but still, it's worth looking into. Keats has a good nose for a scoop, and when he's on the trail of something like this, it's hard getting him off it.]

[He's going around, notebook in hand and Sylveon trotting at his side, asking around and jotting down notes on the things he's learning. When he sees Bill, he pauses.]

Interesting Pokemon you have. [Keats' (Irish) accent should definitely tell the other man he's not from around here. He eyes the Unown with interest, before turning to the man himself.] Mind if I ask you a few questions? I'm a reporter, you see...I'm just trying to gather as many facts as I can about a certain story told around these parts.

Anyways, the boy's more than willing to settle the score with a battle. He's determined to show that Journal 3 isn't just what he relies on; he relies on brains too. Though, he's not so confident in his selection of a team. Ah, well, it'll have to suffice; he can't just back down from his challenge now. Gideon brushes his fingers against one of his pokéballs, lightly grasping it.]

[Having strayed from her intended path, Annie holds her arms nervously close to her chest as she walks with her backpack hanging resting snugly against her back. She couldn't remember how long she had been walking, or really where she had been trying to go in the first place. Right now, she can't really remember much of anything as her memories slip out of the grasp of her mind, her head faintly aching.

With the sky growing dark above, her fear of the unknown that surrounds her begins to drive her to taking an increasingly erratic path. A turn to the left, then a turn back to the right. Some way might lead her to something she could recognize, but no turn seems to be answering this need, and she backtracks. The girl slows to a stop as she stares at a stump that seems familiar.

Her voice is quiet as she speaks.]

...Okay, maybe this isn't all that bad. He just has to retrace his steps and find his way back out. Gideon loathed caves for this very reason; their serpentine paths and many hallways would make anyone confused. And he was by no means a navigator. Though, the fact that he's here with Mabel certainly doesn't quell his anxieties. Alright, deep breathes, he'll be fine. He just has to believe he'll be.]
