The Body Heat Meme




Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

[Hiccup hasn't had the best of luck lately, has he? Arcee had been feeling especially guilty about it, the fact that there was nothing she could do to help him ate at her every day. I mean, way to go, Arcee. You have so little allies here, you can't even keep them safe when they're in trouble.

So as anyone could guess, when the two winded up on their own little mission, she sure as hell was going to prove her worth as his friend.

Cue the bad weather, because that's just their luck. The moment they find suitable shelter to wait this terrible cold out in, Arcee's tossing the kid her emergency blanket because that's just the kind of person she is.]

[Of all the times to get caught in the park in a blizzard, Jamie just had to pick today. Of course, if he'd listened to his mom when she specifically told him NOT to go, he wouldn't be in this mess. Still, he's not about to try and walk through several feet of snow to make it home. Sitting for a little bit to wait it out seems like the best option.

The best refuge he could find was a gazebo situated in the center of the park, which provided a decent enough shelter from the snow. It did next to nothing when it came to keeping the cold and wind out, but it was better than sitting on a park bench neck deep in snow. So there he sat, chilled to the bone with his arms folded tightly in an attempt to keep himself warm. If he knew where Jack was right now, he'd be telling him to cool it with the blizzard already. Then again, Jack couldn't really control a snowstorm once it started...

Well, at least he forgot to take the picnic blanket he'd stuffed in his backpack out from a few weeks prior. It was the only thing keeping him from completely freezing.

The snow has made it incredibly dark outside, and it's starting to visibly make the child uneasy..]

[Temperatures in Sugar Rush generally stayed the same most of the time, with the weather constantly being perfect for racing all the time. So that meant it was never really too hot or too cold, depending on where you were. It was only natural it would be far colder on the snowy tracks than it would be in the actual kingdom itself.

But today, to Vanellope, everything was cold. Very cold.

A lot of people would argue that video game characters couldn't really get sick. Which, generally, that would make sense. Why would a character get sick if it wasn't something their backstory dictated? Others would say "Well if you can die, in your own game or otherwise, why can't you get sick?" It was definitely something people debated about a lot, and most of the time you didn't hear of people ever feeling under the weather really because of it.

Of course, Vanellope was different. Perhaps her glitch- even under control now as it was- affected her in such a way that she could get sick. Surely having your code rearrange itself sporadically doesn't exactly feel pleasant. Whatever the case, today Vanellope was in fact sick. All she can really do is lie in bed shivering and glitching slightly every now and then, the covers not really providing her with too much warmth.]

[At a familiar tree, a spirit sat. The snow around him fell silently and softly. Even though it wasn't howling winds, like ones found in a blizzard, it was still cold. He sat at the base of the tree, his knees pulled to his chest. Here or there, his body would tremble at the cold, but his silver eyes watched, up through the bare branches of the tree.

He was too tired. Too tired to try and recreate nightmares, trying to strike fear into children's hearts. Pitch had taken a moment to rest under the tree, only to be bombarded with this snow.

Pitch watched as the snowflakes cascaded down onto the ground. A few even landed on his cheeks, which he furiously tried to rub away, grumbling as he did so. Jack must be having a field day with this, he thought.]

[The area Simon might be coming across next in this post-apocolyptic wasteland of a world is the ruins of some sort of small town, with a farm adjacent to it. Everything is quiet, with most of the buildings crumbling or boarded up. Not a soul is around to be spoken of. There aren't even any animals, and what's more, it's starting to snow slightly.

Huddled up with his back against the wall of a barn not far away is a little boy with his arms wrapped tightly around skinned up knees in a feeble attempt to keep warm. There's a tattered backpack next to him full of all sorts of random items, including a tattered, white hat sticking out from the top.

The child seems to be alone, left to fend for himself in the empty town. All he can do is sit there and hope it doesn't get too much colder, sniffling before burying his face in his knees.]

[Huddled in the corner wrapping her arms around herself and shivering somewhat is this little dragon. She had put on a brave face making out that the snow wouldn't bother her that much - only she really should have mentioned something because dragons and snow? Yeah, they don't really mix together that well, Unless you've been brought up in the snowy peaks of Dragonsbayne and you can cope with it there's really no chance for you.]
