The Meme


You are now on a quest to be the very best trainer in all the land! In your own, special way. I mean, everyone has their own thing they seek in the Pokemon world, right? Some want to gather badges. Other people participate in contests! Still others decide to devote their life to research and becoming a Pokemon Professor.


1. You're in a Pokemon battle! Is it a friendly battle? Is it a heated match between destined rivals? Or are you just mugging some preschoolers for their lunch money?

2. Either 1 went pretty well and you're just chillaxing, or 1 went pretty poorly and you're recuperating and healing up, or maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about when I say 1 because you didn't just fight a Pokemon battle. Regardless of the reasons, you are now at a Pokemon Center.

3. You are traveling on some route or another and enjoying the scenic vistas and the epic scenery of wherever you are. Or maybe you're getting ready to camp out for a while? Well. You're just stopping and smelling the metaphorical roses.

4. You are lost. So this is kind of like 3 except it's less enjoying the ride and more going oh crap what is this this is a cave I wasn't supposed to go into a cave was I? I can't use surf how am I supposed to get through this lake crap.

5. You're participating in a contest! You're getting ready to, you're appealing, you're sabotaging your competition, whatever it takes to get that ribbon.

6. You are somehow involved with a Pokemon Daycare. Maybe your Pokemon is expecting? Maybe you've got this...this egg you gotta haul about until it hatches. Or maybe you don't have enough cash to get your beloved Rattata back so now you're mugging preschoolers for their lunch money. It's a very dark and dire business you're involved with.

Lucky, Defense Curl!

[Blissey somehow manages to curl into itself, forming a ball of protection against Braviary's attack.]

[Even though the attack hit straight on, it seemed to do more damage to itself then to Blissey. It shook it off however and flew back up into the air]

Use whirlwind!

[Braviary flapped its wings as hard as it could, whipping up the air all around Blissey]

[The Blissey gave a bit of a cry as the wind blew it out of the field.]

Lucky...!

[Meanwhile the wind whipped around her, knocking loose one of her Pokeballs. It hit the ground, releasing her Lopunny.]

[Braviary stopped flapping as soon as Lopunny was out.]

Perfect now hit it with an Aerial Ace and quick!

[The bird Pokémon flew at full speed toward the Lopunny, planning on hitting the poor Pokémon before it even knew what was going on]

Quick Angel, use Dig!

[The Lopunny jumped up briefly before quickly digging a hole and disappearing into the ground.]

[Braviary landed a few feet from the hole after just barely missing. Suddenly a smirk appeared on Rainbows face as she got an idea.]

Hyper Beam! Into the hole!

[Fluttershy stiffened just a bit, but putting on a brave face she tried to think.]

Angel, Quick Attack...!

[The Lopunny suddenly burst out from the ground, rushing towards Braviary.]

[The hyper beam was ready to be released but when Braviary saw lopunny coming towards it, he changed directions and released the hyper beam right at Lopunny]

[The beam hit Angel directly, sending the Lopunny flying back. He landed on the ground heavily, but after a moment he pushed himself up to his feet, breathing heavily.

Fluttershy bit her bottom lip, thinking. Then, with a sudden remembrance, she called out.]

Angel! Thunder Wave!

Wait what?!

[Before Rainbow Dash could process what Fluttershy said it was to late and Braviary was hit, forcing the bird to the ground and unable to move.]

I--I never knew Lopunny could learn that!

W-Well...they can only learn it by...using a TM...[She rubbed her arm, slightly embarrassed.] B-But I...taught it to Angel just in case...you know...Sometimes people think they can try take advantage of the injured Pokemon I treat at my home, so I...th-thought it'd be useful...

[Rainbow nodded, it worked great for Fluttershy, but not so much for herself. Braviary was still paralyzed, and she knew it was pretty much useless to call out an attack. She could see the static running around its body.

Suddenly Rainbow had an idea, she didn't know if it would work but it was her best chance. She waited for Fluttershy to attack]

O-Okay, Angel...Let's use Dizzy Punch!

[The Lopunny charged toward Braviary, readying the attack.]

[Rainbow stood there, allowing Lopunny to attack Braviary. She really hoped her plan worked, she could tell the dizzy punch was taking a toll on the bird Pokémon. She was glad Fluttershy decided to use a physical attack or her plan wouldn't have worked at all]

Come on...

[She then saw a few of the sparks surrounding Braviary move onto Lopunny while it was attacking and smiled]

[Fluttershy gasped.]

Angel...!

[Unfortunately, no matter how she called, the Lopunny was completely paralyzed.]

Yes! It worked!

[Braviary shook the rest of the static off, most of it having gone to Lopunny and flew up, glad to be able to move again]

Now Braviary use Brave Bird!

[The Lopunny was unable to move as the attack hit directly, sending him flying back and hitting the ground.]

Angel...!

[But Lopunny was out cold.]

All right! Great job Brave...Braviary!

[The after effect of the Brave Bird had knocked Braviary out as well. Leaving this round a tie]

[Recalling Angel, Fluttershy smiled softly.]

You did a great job, Angel...Now you get some rest.

[Putting the Pokeball away, she smiled at Rainbow Dash.] You really are a great trainer, Rainbow Dash.

[Rainbow Dash called back her Pokemon as well, giving Braviary a thanks before putting him back on her belt]

Of course I am. Heh, but your pretty good yourself Fluttershy, I don't see why you don't battle more.

I-It's not...something I like doing. I only train them enough to protect the Pokemon at home from people who might try to hurt them...

I guess, I mean your pretty good at battling. But even I have to admit your the best at taking care of Pokemon, and not just out of the six of us.

[She blushes.] Th-Thanks.
