Jamjar settings are officially the best when you want to do a cross-canon tag-out but just can't be assed to think of a way to fit your character in another one's canon.

I - SETTING

1. Horror: Your characters are taken from their own worlds and thrown into a terrifying situation! Things are creepy, resources are scarce, and ensuring your own survival is paramount.
2. Sex Game: For whatever contrived and nonsensical reason, your characters are forced into a world where they gotta bone. Aside from smutstuff, you have the opportunity to play out how very awkward it is to navigate these agreements and encounters before and after. Lasting bonds can form from something you didn't expect! But so can eternal regret.
3. Slice of Life: Characters are forced to live together in familial units. They have an opportunity here -- in spite of being stuck -- to relax and slow down and do some fun, ordinary things. Picnics, dates, school, etc.
4. Fantasy: Characters are forced into guilds and roles, given weapons and are made to utilize their powers in coordinated units to complete missions.
5. Scifi: Characters are thrust on to the frontier of spacial colonization! Characters on a spaceship! Characters being drafted into an Imperial Earth Army to fight/conquer foreign entities! Characters being in a world where they are assessed, identified, tracked and policed by artificial intelligence! And so on!
6. Reincarnation/ New Identity: Your character has been reborn at this game, or given a new identity. Work out their karma or help them come to terms with having to live a new life.
7. Asylum/Prison/Institutionalized Identity: Characters are locked up and put under heavy surveillance. Slowly they are institutionalized and disintegrated from ordinary social rules of engagement. They could be told that they've been identified as mentally dysfunctional, or they could be in prison! Are they pleading their innocence, or do they know they're guilty as fuck back in their world?
8. Assignment-Based/Mercenary/Survival: Characters have to put their skills to good use as drafted mercenaries. Help your captors assassinate, spy, sabotage, infiltrate, steal, and terrorize for points that will lead up to your freedom or the freedom of others.
9. Your Choice!: Do whatever!

II - SITUATION

1. First Impressions: You never forget your first impression of someone. Unless it was entirely forgettable.
2. Oh Hey Again: I kind of know you!!!! Hi!!! I hate this place but love familiarity hi!!!
3. Event: SOMETHING IS HAPPENING and your characters have either run into each other or sought each other out to stick together during it!
4. Living Quarters: Surprise, your characters are in the same house! Or room! Or building! Either way you have to share space and facilities with this person. Enjoy!
5. Mystery: Who Did It? Why Are We Here? Characters are disappearing, people are dying, whatever is happening it is FISHY!
6. Canon Update/Respawn/"But we know each other, I swear!": One character comes (back) to a game and does not remember previous CR. A relationship or friend or even hateship is forgotten. How will this be dealt with?
7. Begrudgingly Working Together: You are so fucking annoying but I guess we have to fight Monster of the Day Together/Get Unstuck-UnLost Together/Find Our Way Back/Help Each Other Out.
8. Is This a Date: Gee, you guys sure are doing a lot of things that people on dates do and you're having a lot of fun [sweats]...
9. Violence: Characters beat the shit out of each other or help each other out of a gory situation with terrible traumatic injuries or something!
10. One-Sided(?) Crush: How do you get their attention? Or, alternatively, how do you ignore that this person obviously is crushing on you and it's totally awkward
11. Protecting/Saving: Your character's chance to be a hero or a damsel!
12. Network Post: Mandatory bs.
13. Inbox: Hey, can I talk to you for a second? In private?
14. Your Choice!: Do whatever!

[Maki still can't quite believe this is happening. every day, she wakes up, thinking she's having a nightmare, only to find out it is very real. the only good thing about this new world is that she is with µ's. but even that can't take away the sting she feels when she realizes her mother and father are gone.

she's quiet for a moment, thinking about her parents as she stares at those shuffling... things, Nico calls them. well, they're certainly not people anymore. she shakes her head to clear it before looking at her shorter friend]

That's fine. Just be careful.

[ Maki's house was a great base. Not only was it huge, but it was within a few miles of all the stores they'd need to be raiding for supplies. Of course, it must sting Maki to some degree to be living there without her family. They've all lost someone. For Nico and Maki, however, they've lost everyone. Well except each other and the rest of µ's.

Nico thanks the lord for that.

With Maki giving the go ahead to her plan, Nico settles her backpack straps on her shoulders, making sure it's secure. She cocks her gun, holding it tightly in her right hand, and then grasping her knife in her left. After all, she only has three bullets. ]

I'll take out the three closest to us. Then you can sneak up and get the one by the door, okay?

[Maki nods with determination and sneaks into a place so that she can get to the area she's supposed to go to quicker. those things aren't very fast, so she will be able to take it out. for some reason, Maki was really good at this... shooting things in the head. no person should have to say they were good at it, but, here they were.

after watching them for a few minutes, they finally shuffle off in a different direction, so they're not turned towards the girls. Maki gives Nico the signal to go ahead]

[ With the things headed in a different direction, Nico doesn't deem it necessary to waste the ammo on them. Instead choosing to sneak by (keeping her hand on her knife, mind you) and go in the store unnoticed.

She's about to give the go ahead to come enter the store with her when she opens the door and hears a deep growl. Within seconds, one of those things is lunging forward to attack her. She pulls out the knife, toppling to the ground with it and struggling, but stabbing it in the head. ]

Maki! There's more inside! We need to clear it out!

Nico-chan! [Maki makes an irritated sound, both concerned for Nico, as well as annoyed to know that their store has been overrun. she dashes forward, knocking away several zombies as she makes it to Nico's side]

Are you okay? [she'll ask a follow up question once she knows if Nico's been hurt]

I'm fine, I'm fine! Just a cut from falling over.

[ Soon enough, more and more zombies start filing in, and Nico struggles to her feet. ] Take out as many as you can without using your gun! we don't wanna draw more attention by being loud!

[ It's not like they can afford to waste the ammo either. Thank god that Maki was here, though. She shivers at the thought of what could've happened if she made this run alone. ]

[that cut looks pretty bad. if it's infected, what are they going to do?

but Maki doesn't have time to worry about that now. Nico told her to take out as many as she could without using her gun. not an easy task. Maki grits her teeth, and her thoughts flash back to her peaceful life, singing together with µ's... no time for reminiscing, either. she needs to stay focused!

she almost yells, but remember she has to be quiet. so she just attacks, jamming the butt of her gun into one thing's head. with the closest one down, that gives her time to get out her dagger. she jams it into an eye socket, wincing at the blood that squirts out. it's okay, these things aren't human anymore. she needs to survive]

[ If it's infected, then Nico might be down an arm, and she won't be much good for supply runs anymore. But let's try to think positively!

Once she's up, Nico just starts going for heads. Stabbing and slicing as much as she can. She backs away from the door, hoping to lead some more of the zombies out of the store and into the lot. If they clear them out over here, then once they're dead, getting into the store should be no problem. ]

[there are so many. Maki keeps up the stabbing, thankful for her stamina training. it's what is keeping her going. she takes down about twenty zombies, which clears out most of them, but there are still a few shambling in the store.

so, in she goes, to take out those guys. they need this store! gotta keep those things out of it]

Ah, Maki-chan?! What do you think you're doing going in alone!?

[ Not that she doubts her at all! But it's better to stick together, isn't it? That's what Eli says, anyways.

Sticking her knife into a couple heads here and there, she eventually catches up with Maki, looking slightly miffed, but more worried than anything. ]

Stay together, okay? We need to be careful.

[ After all, she's technically the responsible senpai here. ]

[Maki hadn't gone very far. she thought the goal was to take back the store, so that was what she was doing. but she slows down her walk once Nico catches up to her]

Ah, sorry. [the store is dark inside, the electricity hasn't worked for a couple of days, so all that frozen food is going bad. it's a shame, really. Maki ducks into an aisle, poking her head over it to count how many zombies were still in there, then ducks back down]

I think there are only ten left. We can either split up and take them out one at a time, or go together. If we're quiet enough, we can sneak up on each one.
