First Kiss Meme



one. It's your first date, and you're dropping them off at the door. Are they going to lean in? Should you..?

two. You have been friends since forever. Everyone knows you like each other, but the moment quite hasn't arisen for the first kiss. Until now.

three. Awkward first kisses! Maybe you just bumped noses, or you kissed their chin instead. Time for attempt number two!

four. Maybe this is your very first kiss, or maybe it's theirs! Either way, one of you is experienced and the other isn't. What if it turns out really bad?! (But hey, maybe you're a natural.)

five. The accidental kiss. Might have tripped over your own feet, or maybe you've collided and they landed on top of you. Either way, your lips are locked- Where you go from there is up to you.

six. UST kisses. There's been some sort of tension between you for a while. Maybe you fight all the time, maybe you're in love with each other and you keep getting interrupted before anything happens. Either way, that tension needs to end now!

seven. Either pick one, mesh some together, re-roll, or create your own!

Oh. I see.

[She folds her hands in her lap again, bouncing her legs a little as she averts her gaze.]

I just figured that was an okay thing to do. You know, like...a hug, or something. I apologize!

Nah, you're fine. You just...surprised me is all.

[At least Yang's mostly recovered from her shock by now. Really Penny should be given an award; it's been ages since somebody was able to surprise her quite like that.

She looks up thoughtfully trying to find a simple way to put this given how Penny seems to have no point of reference for this.]

It is kinda like when you hug somebody. It's usually like...a step above hugging? You know, handshakes and stuff when you first get introduced. Then hugs when you become friends. And then kissing when you know you both like each other.

[Of course, these are more like guidelines than rules. ...Neither of which Yang really follows all the time anyway but...]

[Penny is quiet as she listens, her expression fiercely concentrated as she seems to be trying to absorb and understand everything that Yang is telling her.]

Okay...well, when you put it that way, that makes perfect sense!

[...Almost.]

But, do not friends like each other, usually? Or else you are not friends, right?

...Well, yeah, usually. But there's liking somebody as a friend and then there's liking someone as more than just a friend.

[This is starting to sound like playground children talk to her. Let's just go out on a limb here...]

You know, like when you love someone?

[Penny is quiet for a moment, watching Yang with a gaze that is serious and unblinking.]

...L..ove?

[She's learned a lot- a lot- but her father has yet to sit her down and talk about the more serious things of life, such as love, or romance, or anything of that sort.

Naturally, it stops at friendship for Penny. She doesn't fully understand anything beyond that.]

[Yang's just gonna...stare for a good moment.

Penny's either the most sheltered girl she's ever met or the saddest. Because really...wow.]

Yyyeah, love. Like, when you really really care about somebody?

[She raises an eyebrow, frowning a little at Penny, but her tone is all sympathy.]

You seriously don't know what love is?

..I do not.

[She frowns, her shoulders drooping a bit.]

I'm sorry, Yang. There are...quite a few things I don't know. But I'm still learning! Or...trying to, at least.

[Awwwww...

She pauses and then puts an arm around the Penny's shoulders comfortingly.]

Hey, that's okay. This is actually some pretty complicated stuff.

[Can't get a more difficult concept to explain than love.

She grins.]

Luckily, I happen to have quite a bit of experience when it comes to love. And I'd be happy to tell you everything I know.

You...you really would, Yang?

[She seems a bit hesitant, but also eager to learn at the same time.]

[She stands up off the bench, still grinning as she gestures for Penny to follow.]

Come on, we'll walk and talk.

[...Penny's father is probably not going to be happy with the information she's inevitably going to come home with after this.]

Oh! Thank you so much!

[She's on her feet in a flash, bouncing on her heels. It's probably taking a lot for her not to sweep Yang into one of her infameous rib-crushing hugs.]

I cannot wait to learn everything there is to know about love!

Hey, you're welcome. Friends help friends out.

[Yang, you are the worst kind of friend.

She smiles, and then looks up in thought as they start walking off.]

Let's see, where to begin...

[Her words are punctuated by a tap of a finger to her chin as she decides just how she wants to go about this.]

Okay! Well, for starters, there's actually more than one kind of love...

[Aaand already this is off to a fantastic terrible start.]

Oooh...more than one?

[Penny watches Yang curiously out of the corner of her eye, tilting her head to the side.]
