one. It's your first date, and you're dropping them off at the door. Are they going to lean in? Should you..?

[One of Perovskia's royal banquets had been planned by a visitor this evening, so it seemed. The entire place was full of people, and things seemed to be going rather well. In fact, it was one of the finer parties the Prince had attended, and he wished to meet the person responsible.

So he crosses the foyer with his hands at his sides, excusing himself as he passes others to try to reach her.]

[Pinkie Pie still no idea how word of her party planning expertise reached Perovskia, let alone the ears of the royal family, but she sure as heck isn't complaining! It's her first time hosting a party overseas, not the mention the first time her clients were royals outside of Princess Celestia's family, so of course she put her all into making this one of the biggest- and least stuffy- banquets ever!

Right now she's chatting with a few of the guests- the nobles of Perovskia apparently MUCH less uptight than the ones back home- and snatching a snack or two from any waiter that wanders too close.]

[Pepper manages to find her eventually, but he doesn't approach right away. He waits for those speaking with her to filter away, though he's stopped by them as he's noticed standing nearby. Once he does finally find an opening he makes his way over, reaching out to gently touch her arm to get her attention.]

Excuse me. Are you Miss Pinkie?

[She turns around... only to be greeted by a chest. She has to tilt her head quite a bit to see his face (WOW this guy is tall) but once she does her face lights up.]

Oh, hi there! Yup, I'm Pinkie Pie, nice to meet ya!

[She offers her hand out for a shake. Etiquette schmetiquette, it feels a LOT better just being her cheerful, (overly) friendly self.]

How're you liking the party so far?

[Pepper just laughs softly, dipping his head slightly to her as he gently takes her offered hand.]

It's fantastic, thank you. I don't think I've attended a finer party, to tell you the truth.

I am Prince Peter. But please, you can call me Pepper.

Really? That's GREAT, I'm SUPER happy you like it!

[But then she lets out a BIG but delighted gasp when he introduces himself.]

Oh, wow, you are?! Then I'm super SUPER happy you like it!

I am, yes. You are very good at what you do, I must say.

Aw, thank you~! And I must say that YOU'RE very good at giving compliments!

[Well, isn't Rarity going to be pleased (and maybe a teensy bit jealous in a good way) that she's making friends with the prince?]

[Well she's sure about to be something...because Pepper smiles, opening his mouth to respond.]

Well of course, I c-

[When someone passing by suddenly jostles him unintentionally, causing his boot to catch on the rug. This causes the Prince to falter and fall forwards, catching himself against the punch table...while at the same time taking Pinkie with him.

...accidentally catching her with his face.]

[Pinkie BARELY has time to gasp before Pepper crashes into her and--

Yup, that is definitely a prince sandwiching her between the punch table, and those are DEFINITELY his lips VERY firmly on hers and um wow okay, what do now someone help please cannot think anymore.]

[As soon as he gets the chance he immediately pulls away from her, slackjawed and redfaced all the way up to his ears. He takes her hand to help her stand, but all the while he's stammering, shaking his head.]

I...I- I'm s-so sorry!

[Sorry, the Pinkie you have reached is blushing hot pink and completely stupefied, please leave a message after the beep.]

Sorry...S-sorry.

[Pepper continues to apologize profusely, gently letting go of her hand once he's sure she's standing upright again.]

I didn't hurt you, did I?

[And now her brain has been rebooted. She's still blushing furiously, though.]

What?! No, nononono you're fine! [Complete with conciliatory jazz hands on the "no"s.]

Are you okay?

No no- ..I...I mean, yes! I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine.

PHEW! Okay, good!

[And suddenly she begins giggling to herself a bit.]

A-ah...I must have tripped. I do hope you forgive me.

[And soon that giggle turns into a full but still warm laugh that floods her speech.]

Are you kidding, that was GREAT! I mean, it's not every day you get your first ever kiss on the lips from a prince!

O-oh! ...F-first?

[........oh dear gracious Lord he's so sorry.]

[Aw, come on, it's not that bad. She's grinning and laughing, isn't she?]

Yup~! First kiss ever! And- if I do say so myself- it was a pretty nice one!
