THE BAD END MEME 2

THE BAD ENDING MEME 2

You've chosen your path and it's led you to one of the worst possible ends. A bad ending you've averted in the past could be coming true after all, a possibility you've always feared could be happening now. It's game over.

Bring it

▻ post with your character, make sure to note their name and series in the subject.

▻ taggers RNG it up.(If you want)

▻ tag other people with the number you rolled and thread from there. or skip the rolling and pick your own scenario!

▻ have fun!

Prompts

one。 SURVIVORS -- you two are the only ones left, whether it be the result of the apocalypse, a fight with the final boss gone horribly wrong, or something equally tragic. now you're left to contemplate friends and loved ones lost, as well as which one of you may be next.

two。 SICKNESS -- you are seriously ill. poisoning, virus, perhaps it's even mental; whatever the reason, you doubt time is on your side this time.

three。 FORGOTTEN -- you're not sure how, but your memories are crumbling and the things you do recall are hazy and make you dizzy. can you even recognize the person in front of you anymore?

four。 SEPARATED -- you can see them, hear them, but something's keeping you from being with them. perhaps you're placed in a room with impenetrable glass dividing you, or you're hiding in a phone booth downtown, calling them secretly.

five。 MELLOWED -- you've been through things, you've loved and you've lost, and all of that's changed you. maybe you finally decided to give in to temptation, you could be addicted to a substance you know is destroying you, or you've simply lost the optimism you had as a youth.

six。 ANTAGONIST -- you've flipped the coin. you had to do it; they might not be able to understand it, but you just can't forgive the things that have happened. the darkness has consumed you.

seven。 FREE CHOICE -- combine any of the others, reroll, or make up your own bad ending. the choice is yours!

[He glanced at her, seeing that she was bundling herself up with his cloak. The last thing he wanted were the Guardians on his case about losing one of their own when Pitch could have done something about it. They would never let him live it down. He had to keep Tooth alive.

The King of Nightmares pushed himself up and off the couch, rubbing at his arms. His silver eyes rested on the fireplace. If they could only get some more firewood... They could both benefit from it, and neither of them would have to suffer like this. It was the only choice right now. Pitch turned his gaze towards the window, seeing how harsh the winds were, snow thrashing about in the air.

What other choice did he have?

He turned his back to Tooth, moving towards the door.]

I'll find us some firewood. Even if it's wet, we can dry it off somehow. [He said, his voice raspy from being quiet for so long during their time in the cabin. But before she could get a word in, the door opened easily enough thanks to Pitch unlocking it. He pushed his body against the wind and snow that battered his frail frame. He tried to slip out before too much cold air and snow slipped inside. Luckily, he was able to push the door closed with all his strength. Once it was securely shut, he stood up straight and looked across the landscape.

Everything was blinded by white. But he could barely make out the forest nearby, whichhe trudged through the snow and wind to walk towards.]

[The girl watched him leave with only one thought in her mind: idiot. He'd freeze to death out there and they both knew it.

As the wind blustered in, Toothiana shrunk even further into the cloak he'd lent her. Once the door slammed shut, she let out a frustrated huff and pouted slightly. He shouldn't be doing this. It's not like she could though. Truthfully, he couldn't either... especially not now without the only thing that probably could have given him some semblance of warmth.

It wasn't worry that drove her outside after nearly a half an hour of waiting for him to return. Or, at least, she did a dang good job of convincing herself it wasn't. It was only her survival she was concerned for and without Pitch and that firewood it was at stake. The fairy hopped off the couch and headed out the door.

The cold stung harshly. Just like Pitch had, she managed to close the door using all of her strength. The dark cloak that practically dwarfed her tiny wind billowed in the strong winds. Toothiana trudged through the snow, eyes squinted as she tried to make something, anything out in this white-out.

It took a while, but then she did spot something. Ashen skin against stark white snow. Was that-? The girl let out an audible gasp and started to run--more like hop--through the snowbanks and to where Pitch was. No. No. She knew she should have stopped him, should have done something.
]

Pitch! [Her voice was carried away by the wind but she kept calling out as she slowly bridged the space left between them.]

[The last thing he did remember was walking out into the blizzard. And then things slowly grew dark. It was unsettling. And suddenly through the howl of the wind, he heard a voice. It was barely heard, but he still caught it. His eyes fluttered open and the bright white landscape caused him to squint.

Most of his body had been covered with snow. When he shifted, more of his ashen skin was visible through the snow. He took in a ragged breath, feeling the cold pierce into his lungs, causing him to gasp. With the intake of breath, it caused him to cough, which raked through his entire, now frail, body.

His whole body felt numb, his fingertips were starting to turn black. And not a healthy normal black that anyone was used to seeing on Pitch. It wasn't his dream sand at all for that matter. But he calmed down his coughing, squinting through the snow to see brightly colored feathers in the distance. It was Tooth... Pitch's eyebrows furrowed, confused, but he tried to call out with his raspy voice, his arm barely managing to lift itself up, to get her attention.]
