THE BAD END MEME 2

THE BAD ENDING MEME 2

You've chosen your path and it's led you to one of the worst possible ends. A bad ending you've averted in the past could be coming true after all, a possibility you've always feared could be happening now. It's game over.

Bring it

▻ post with your character, make sure to note their name and series in the subject.

▻ taggers RNG it up.(If you want)

▻ tag other people with the number you rolled and thread from there. or skip the rolling and pick your own scenario!

▻ have fun!

Prompts

one。 SURVIVORS -- you two are the only ones left, whether it be the result of the apocalypse, a fight with the final boss gone horribly wrong, or something equally tragic. now you're left to contemplate friends and loved ones lost, as well as which one of you may be next.

two。 SICKNESS -- you are seriously ill. poisoning, virus, perhaps it's even mental; whatever the reason, you doubt time is on your side this time.

three。 FORGOTTEN -- you're not sure how, but your memories are crumbling and the things you do recall are hazy and make you dizzy. can you even recognize the person in front of you anymore?

four。 SEPARATED -- you can see them, hear them, but something's keeping you from being with them. perhaps you're placed in a room with impenetrable glass dividing you, or you're hiding in a phone booth downtown, calling them secretly.

five。 MELLOWED -- you've been through things, you've loved and you've lost, and all of that's changed you. maybe you finally decided to give in to temptation, you could be addicted to a substance you know is destroying you, or you've simply lost the optimism you had as a youth.

six。 ANTAGONIST -- you've flipped the coin. you had to do it; they might not be able to understand it, but you just can't forgive the things that have happened. the darkness has consumed you.

seven。 FREE CHOICE -- combine any of the others, reroll, or make up your own bad ending. the choice is yours!

[Gryffindor and Slytherin had been locked in the final championship Quidditch match of the season for hours now. The weather hadn't been the kindest today, leaving the sky grey with the clouds swollen with unshed rain. The wind wasn't pleasant either and had been choppy and unpredictable for hours. Of course, the competing teams hadn't gotten this far for nothing. A little wind and a little rain wasn't going to stop them from completing this match.
Heck, a tornado wouldn't even be enough to stop them.

The game had so far stretched well beyond the limits of the matches that had normally taken place this year. Gryffindor and Slytherin had next to no trouble wiping the fields with Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, so by the time they finally got to go head to head the match-up had made a long game predictable. Chasers from both teams had managed to keep the quaffle out of reach of both goals for quite some time, leaving the two houses tied. The only thing that would end this game, it seemed, would be for one of the Seekers to catch the snitch.

And THAT was turning out to be a near impossibility as well, considering the weather. The snitch was nothing but a blur in the clouds and around the bleachers, and before either Turbo or Finn could approach the little ball it would zip away and become lost in the atmosphere once again.

As if to add to the stress of the game, the bludgers were being exceedingly aggressive today. Nobody could pinpoint exactly why- perhaps it had something to do with the weather. Either way, they seemed to be out for blood, if that were possible, and the Beaters on both teams were having trouble keeping them off the backs of their teammates. It seemed at this point that if the game didn't end soon, all of the players would be knocked from their brooms before long anyway.
...And a rematch was not an option.

Panting heavily, Eddy flew up high above the heads of the Gryffindor Chasers, trying to spot Teddy through the steady rain that had his goggles all fogged up. The last time he saw his brother he'd been passed the Quaffle, and had disappeared into the clouds with another Chaser on his tail. He knew the best idea for now would be to stay above the clouds.
That's what the two had planned for the match, since the rain had been predicted- use the clouds to their advantage to shake the Gryffindor Chasers, and then juggle the Quaffle between each other and their fellow Chasers to get it back to the goal. Of course that had been easier said than done, but this strategy worked hours ago. It was the reason the two teams were currently tied.]

C'mon Turbo, catch the freakin' snitch. We're dyin' out here..

[Eddy hisses under his breath as he tightens his grip around his broomstick, his eyes still searching the clouds for Teddy. If the game could just end right now, then he'd be satisfied. That was all up to Turbo though, or else they'd be stuck fighting to claim the Quaffle for another four more hours.

While Eddy mulls over this with his teeth gritted in frustration behind his lips, he spots a sudden flicker of movement in the corner of his eye. At first he's not sure what it is. The snitch?..

The Daemon lets out a loud outcry of surprise when someone shoots right over the top of his head at top speeds, the bristles of their broom catching the top of his head. Any closer and they would have collided. He turns his head to scream at the offender, only to see that it's Teddy, rocketing over the top of the clouds with the Quaffle tight under one arm before diving and disappearing again.

Quickly Eddy follows, able to get down just in time to see Teddy approaching Gryffindor's goal. Their plan seems to have worked a second time, and his twin was able to outmaneuver the other Chasers using the storm to his advantage. Eddy takes a breath in preparation to cheer for his brother after he makes the goal, since the Gryffindor Keeper doesn't seem prepared at all for Teddy's sudden appearance.

He, along with everyone else in the air, watches for Teddy to make what is sure to be the tie-breaking goal- ..but it never comes. He leans back on his broom and pulls back an arm, aiming a shot at the goal with his jaw set with determination.
Then, out of nowhere, a bludger comes rocketing from around the edge of one of the bleachers.

The sound it makes when it collides with Teddy is deafening, echoing over the entire arena. Eddy feels himself let out that breath as a bellow of horror instead of a cheer, his body lurching forwards on his own broom as he watches Teddy's broom splinter beneath him, sending him tumbling limply off the side. The Quaffle is lost somewhere in the collision, and the crowd- who had been cheering Teddy on- has dissolved into exclamations of horror themselves.

Teddy crashes to the ground just a few feet shy of the nearest bleachers, too far away for anyone to save him. Eddy is still several hundred yards away even though he's flying as fast as he can to get back down to the ground. He vaguely catches a glimpse of Turbo and Finn out of the corner of his eye, both of whom had been chasing the snitch all this time. He doesn't stop though, just dimly aware of the fact that he's nearly barreling into other players himself in his haste to get down there.]

[Games like this were exactly what Turbo, and his team, trained for.
The oldest of the Tyme brothers was a ruthless captain, no question. Ask anyone, even those not on the Slytherin team, and they would without a doubt agree tenfold. But that was why Slytherin had won more games and championships than any other house in the past five years, since Turbo became Seeker.
A final match, down to the wire in the worst of weather... This is where Turbo believed his harsh leadership would pay off, because the last thing he'd let his team do now is give up. Quit and let Gryffindor take THEIR championship? Over his dead body.

Chasing the snitch through the mist, the wind, the clouds and the rain the past few hours had been exhausting, but the longer the game continued, the more relentless and determined Turbo became to win.
Finn was no pushover. The Gryffindor Seeker was a year behind the Daemon, sure, but he had impressive speed despite his somewhat older model broom, and intense focus; two of the things Turbo considered most important for a Quidditch player, especially a Seeker. Outrunning him for the capture of the snitch was always a challenge, but now, he had the storm to contend with as well.

Every time the tiny golden ball just narrowly escaped Turbo's grasp to vanish back into the clouds, it only made him push himself further, go faster, concentrate even more on the snitch's position and movement.
As he races through the mist at top speed, clutching the handle of his custom Firebolt as tightly as he can, he spots just the faintest glint of the snitch up ahead. He accelerates towards it, bending forward for increased aerodynamics, giving chase against the wind.

He gets closer by the millisecond. Through his helmet's red-tinted visor he doesn't take his eyes off it. He doesn't blink. It takes him lower.
He reaches out his hand. The winged ball is nearly at his fingertips...
When he hears the heart-stopping echo of a bludger hitting his younger brother.

He can't ignore it. He stops on a dime thanks to the Firebolt's braking charm, losing the snitch but turning in the direction of the sound...
To see a figure in green, with an unmistakable square blue helmet, fall from his broom and brutally hit the ground.
Turbo's yellow eyes widen while his red irises shrink, barely able to gasp, let alone scream out at the top of his lungs. Yet he forces himself to.]

TIME OUT!!

[With the time out called, he rushes down to the ground, landing and dismounting near the the fallen Teddy... quickly realizing the other Twin is doing the same.]

[The second he touches down onto the turf, Eddy can feel his knees buckle somewhat before he regains his footing, charging over to where Teddy landed. The spectators in front the stands lean far over the edge to try and see what's going on for themselves, while professors quickly shoulder their way through the rows in their haste to try to get down to the field too. By the time Eddy makes it over most of the other players have landed as well, casting each other shocked glances.

Eddy falls to his knees next to Teddy, but at first he's afraid to touch him. His broom was completely obliterated by the force of the speeding bludger, resulting in splinters of wood scattered in his wake. The way Teddy is lying, it's nearly impossible to tell just exactly where he got hit. He could have very well been struck in the head or neck, and Eddy knows enough about injuries that to move someone with that kind of injury could be disastrous if you didn't know what you were doing.

He grapples with indecision for a moment before finally bending down, carefully grabbing the edges of Teddy's Quidditch uniform so he can pull it open and get a better look at his condition.

It's not something he wanted to see.

The bludger seems to have stricken him completely dead on, either from the side or from straight ahead. It was too far off for anyone but Gryffindor's Keeper to see, but regardless the collision was nearly point blank. His arm is clasped awkwardly to his side, obviously broken. It looks like Teddy's tight gloves were the only thing that saved his arm from being completely snapped in two, but even then Eddy can't tell how bad it is.
And that's not even the worst of it.

From Teddy's shoulder down to just above the hem of his pants is a long, muddy streak from where the bludger struck him the hardest. He'd be the luckiest kid on earth if he managed to walk away without several broken ribs, and then some. Then, beyond that, his collarbone is also broken, and judging by the mark left on his uniform, the bludger just barely missed hitting him directly in the head. Luck seems to be unbelievably on his side as far as that's concerned, because even with his helmet it's hard to say if he would have made it if the bludger struck his skull at such a close range.

Eddy takes in all of this in just a second or two, ripped from his thoughts when Teddy lets out an involuntary cry of pain. Quickly, Eddy puts his hands on his brother's good arm to let him know he's there, at the same time trying to hold him still incase he panics and tries to sit up.]

Don't....don't...move.

[Not realizing he'd been gasping for air this entire time, Eddy suddenly jerks his helmet off, using a free hand to shakily brush his damp hair from his eyes.
Dang it. Dang it. He doesn't know what to do. Naturally the teachers, no doubt lead from the stands by the brothers' father, would be down onto the field in a moment to help rush Teddy to the infirmary, but time didn't seem to be moving at the right pace. Stricken with his eyes wide with fear, Eddy glances up at Turbo when he makes it over. He might notice how desperate, confused, and in a panic Eddy appears to be. These expressions are foreign on the Daemon's face, and completely unlike him.

He jumps violently when Teddy screams again, his breath catching in his throat as the pain of his injuries suddenly hits him full force after the initial shock.
Sure, they'd gotten hurt before. Plenty of times. Broken bones, bloody noses, black eyes, the whole nine yards. ..But never this badly. When Eddy looks over, he finally notices the dark crimson that seems to be spreading from somewhere beneath his brother's uniform, along with blood trailing down his chin from his mouth.

It's horrible, and he doesn't know what to do.]
