You've chosen your path and it's led you to one of the worst possible ends. A bad ending you've averted in the past could be coming true after all, a possibility you've always feared could be happening now. It's game over.

one｡ SURVIVORS -- you two are the only ones left, whether it be the result of the apocalypse, a fight with the final boss gone horribly wrong, or something equally tragic. now you're left to contemplate friends and loved ones lost, as well as which one of you may be next.
two｡ SICKNESS -- you are seriously ill. poisoning, virus, perhaps it's even mental; whatever the reason, you doubt time is on your side this time.
three｡ FORGOTTEN -- you're not sure how, but your memories are crumbling and the things you do recall are hazy and make you dizzy. can you even recognize the person in front of you anymore?
four｡ SEPARATED -- you can see them, hear them, but something's keeping you from being with them. perhaps you're placed in a room with impenetrable glass dividing you, or you're hiding in a phone booth downtown, calling them secretly.
five｡ MELLOWED -- you've been through things, you've loved and you've lost, and all of that's changed you. maybe you finally decided to give in to temptation, you could be addicted to a substance you know is destroying you, or you've simply lost the optimism you had as a youth.

[He wouldn't, she knew that he wouldn't/ So fi she fell here and ended up being broken once agian,s he would accept it. One day, Discord would fall and peace would again return.
She hoped.]

[Discord snaps up the Elements of Harmony, crushing them together. In a poof he changes into a baseball uniform, winding up his throwing arm. He checks the runner...he twists and twirls! And whoosh...off goes those elements, straight to the moon.]
And it's out of the park!
[GUFFAWS. ALL THE GUFFAWING.]

[She could do nothing as she watched the Elements of Harmony, the only thing that could stop this, were sent away right before her eyes. Tears now filled them as she fell onto her back legs. This... This couldn't be happening. She should have turned Discord to stone when she had the chance.
The only hope for saving Equestria was gone... Twilight's hopes were gone. With this, her purple body began to slowly turn gray.]

There, there, it isn't all that bad. Now we can watch Equestria come into hundreds of thousands of years of chaos!

[That was true, wasn't it? She could have convinced her friends that Discord needed to be stopped, but she had fallen for his fake good act like the rest after some time. Now, because of her foolishness, her home was doomed. There was nothing she could do.
...But was this really the way to go? Was pitying herself the best thing for her to do? Her friends wouldn't want her to do that. She may nto be able to beat Discord, she may not be able to end this reign of chaos, but she couldn't give up hope.
It was all that she had left.]
Discord, you've won... For now. [She looks him straight in the eyes, a look of determination shining in her purple irises.] But even if it takes a thousand years, you will lose again. Somepony will find a way to end you, to find the Elements of Harmony and again awaken them. Hope can never die Discord, so even if I die here and now, it's fine. Because one day, you will fall and be trapped in stone where you belong.
[The gray stopped, and the familiar purple coloring returned. If she died here, she would die as herself, not as Discord's broken victim]

[Enough anger, though, Discord returns to his ordinary color, orchestrating more chaotic events--skies that changed every minute, migrating herds of mountains, tilt-a-whirl hills...]

[The more she kept talking, the more she felt her hope grow. Maybe it would take a thousand years, but Discord would lose again. Of that she was certain.]

[With those words, Twilight closed her eyes as a sense of calm came over her. She was not afraid, she believed in Eauestria. She believed in the magic of friendship. She believed that hope and peace would return oce again someday.]

[Her eyes again closed, but her smile didn't fade. She was okay with being stone forever, she was okay with losing this fight. Why? Because she was going out as herself, not the broken pony that Discord wanted her to be.
He may have beaten Equestria, but he hadn't beaten her. He still lost to her because he couldn't break her. That gave her hope, that made her know that friendship would one day defeat him. She had no regrets.]

Ugh, what a waste of last words. And on that BORING note, goodbye, Twilight Sparkle.
[He didn't have any regrets--except for fully breaking the pony. But letting her go about spreading her stupid little words would be equally worse. The draconequus fires his spell at the pony.]

[She didn't even bother trying to sue her magic to stop the spell, she knew that ti would be useless. She took the spell full on, but she didn't even cringe. Not even as the stone began to slowly encase her body.]
It must hurt, huh Discord? You took over all of Equestria, but you couldn't break me. I wonder how much it must anger you, knowing that you failed to break down one little unicorn. It isn't worth it if you can't have fun breaking every pony, huh?

[With that, the unicorn was fully encased in stone. But upon her face was a gentle smile. She had been sealed away as herself, not as a broken pony. Her hope and love for her home and friends still lived.
Discord won the battle, but not the war.]
