Two heads are better than one

[It's not uncommon that, after hours, Vanellope will suddenly show up via Fix-It Felix Jr's train from Game Central Station, bolting immediately to find Ralph. Half the time, she drags him off before he can even get a chance to ask her what's going on. This time is no different, and she seems really excited to show him something.

They barely have time to exit the train before she's lead him to Sugar Rush, calling over her shoulder and gesturing the whole way.]

C'mon slow poke, y'act like ya got a trail of molassass slowin' you down! Hurry up!!!

[Whatever it is, it must be something that just can't wait, because she's already darted into the port that leads to Sugar Rush.]

Heh, yeah... Don't know what I would'a done if that happened.

[Perhaps it was for the best. Kinda embarrassing, to be honest, but Vanellope is thankful that Ralph was here with her today, or that could have ended far worse.]

[Ralph nods, wincing slightly at the though, he really didn't want think about Vanellope having to deal with Cy-Bugs on her own.]

Yeah...So, what do you say we go and track Calhoun down and tell her what's up?

Sounds like a plan to me!

[Though she wonders if Calhoun is going to want to come to Sugar Rush herself to check things out. Either way, she'd feel safer if she did. She knows more about them than they do.

Okay, let's see if we can find her outside of Hero's Duty, I'd really rather not go back in there if I can help it.

[The girl almost asks Ralph if he thinks blocking off the entrance to the mines is a good idea, but that would just waste time. ..Right?]

Right! I betcha she's probably with Felix or somethin'.

[She usually was, when the arcade was closed.]

Yeah, I think I remember Felix saying something about meeting her tonight. They'll just have to reschedule, but I think Felix'll understand, this is pretty important.

Uh-huh. Unless Calhoun doesn't mind havin' a date with Felix while huntin' for Cy-bugs.

[She snickers at the mental image. Sounds like something she'd do.]

[Ralph chuckles.]

I doubt she'd mind, it'd be Felix she'd have to convince to go along with it!

[The girl chuckles too, still sitting on Ralph's shoulder.]

Aahh, I don't think that'd be too hard for her to do. Those two are inseperable, they'd do anythin' for each other.

[Ralph turns around and starts heading back to the cave entrance.]

They're quite a pair, aren't they? You know, I never expected Felix to end up with somebody like her, but, hey, they're happy.

...Yeah, I wouldn't've put 'em together either. But I'm nine. What do I know 'bout love?

[Not much, admittedly.]

[Ralph laughs at this.]

Hey, I'm thirty and I know as much about love as you do. And I'm pretty sure I like it that way.

You should hear Felix going on and on about Calhoun. He's a good guy, he really is, but I get tired of hearing all that mushy stuff sometimes.

Yuck.

[Vanellope makes a face at that, folding her arms.]

Makes me glad all of us in Sugar Rush are kids. Not interested in all that junk.

[Ralph grins.]

It makes things a lot simpler, doesn't it? Who needs that kind of stuff anyway?

Well...besides Felix and Calhoun, that is.

Nobody, that's who! It's a big ol' waste of time.

[Considering boys have cooties, there's no use even thinking about such things.]

Right! There's much better things to do, like wrecking! Or racing!

[notaglitch]

You got that right chum! We got better ways t'spend our time.

[She chuckles, swinging her legs a bit.]

But whatever makes those two happy s'fine with me I guess.

Yeah, they're not hurting anybody, so it's okay. Just as long as they keep it to a minimum while we're around.

Seriously, blech. I can only take so much lovey-dovey junk.

That's why I keep you around! We've got the same opinion on those sort of things.
