The Body Heat Meme (Again!)

Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

"So what are you making, anyway?"
no subject
Yeah, except that they're not. The configuration of wood and glass and friction makes sense in Doc's mind, but it's all moving rather slowly. His hands twitch as he urges it onward---and, miraculously, there's a spark!
"There it is! Now to feed it...carefully, carefully..."
It's going to take a while to build, but he's fine doing it. As he works, he smiles up at Marty---with all that thick fluff of blanket, he looks like a marshmallow with a human head. Not that he'll ever mention this.

After a little while though Marty started feeling kind of awkward just sitting there hoping that the machine would eventually work, especially when he wasn't the one that would be in danger if it failed. So Marty quietly clears this throat before speaking again.
"So is it working?" As he says this, he couldn't help but think that if the cabin catches on fire, they would probably be doomed.
no subject
"Heap of junk."
He stuffed his hands up his thin coat, looking frustrated. "I'm sorry, Marty. That'll teach me to flit about up here in the winter again. Ah---the blanket's all right, isn't it? I know it's not ideal, but it's the best I've got. Unless---"
He suddenly looks rather awkward.
"Two bodies give off more heat than one."
Or not. Forget he said anything.

The idea of them cuddling together for an entire night was kind of an awkward idea, Marty wasn't going to lie. However, he could stand a little awkwardness to keep them both from dying from the cold. Besides, there was no one around that would recognize them even in the very slim chance that someone did break into the cabin.
"We can share the blanket if that's what you want,"
no subject
"It's not an ideal situation," he apologized. "I'm aware. And I'll make it up to you in the morning, I promise."
He had the same thought, and spent a minute puzzling over how to arrange them to be both warm and non-awkward. Finally he scoots up beside Marty, gesturing for them to sit side by side. It's plenty big...and while that's not the warmest position, it's a vast improvement and it'll get them through the night. He throws his old coat over his lower legs like a blanket, allowing Marty to cover the rest and pulling it closed.
"If it helps, I've finally put an end to my snoring? At least one of my inventions was successful this week...though we would've preferred the fire, I'm sure."
no subject
Still, it was kind of awkward just sitting there Marty decides that he should probably try to alleviate it by saying the first topic he can think of.
"When have you been in weather worse than this, anyway?" Don't think he forgot about that comment you made earlier. He doesn't remember there being any freak winter incident in Hill Valley.
no subject
"It began in the Old West, as these things tend to," Doc started, not sure if that fondness was coming from the memory or from starting to thaw. He continued on.
"You're absolutely right: snow is quite rare in Hill Valley. There are only a few recorded instances in history. I shared this with Jules and Verne in our lessons one morning, and they were completely entranced by the pictures of snowscapes in their books."
He looked sheepish. "When I completed the time train, I obtained weather records for the next two centuries. There was---will be---a fantastic snowstorm in Hill Valley for a certain Christmas of the future, and I wanted them to experience that at least once while growing up. But the records I obtained weren't complete, and I was unaware of the mudslides to come. Fortunately we escaped safely, but...Clara wasn't happy with me for a good while afterward."
Good job, Doc. Real good job.
no subject
"And you didn't invite me?" He's totally joking, don't actually try to invite him to a mudslide, Doc.
no subject
Of course he did. He was always late with these things. But as much as he was joking...well, Marty was as much of a son to him as Jules and Verne.
"But once I get this fire going in the morning...maybe I'll see about building a snowman. We attempted it before the mudslide, but the boys were far more interested in a snowball fight. Their mother's excellent aim was a real surprise!"
He laughed at that memory, still hoping to make a new one."
no subject
When he hears about the snowman, his face does light up a little bit. After all, he's seen more snow here than he had in his entire life and it would be great to actually do the stuff that he sees in shows during the winter. Then he remembers the blizzard again.
"That sounds great Doc, but, ah," he turns to look worriedly at the window "You think we should make sure we're not snowed in first?"
Granted he doesn't know how often that happens outside of movies and TV, but it can't hurt to be a little worried, right?
no subject
He moves as if to get up, but a flash of cold air quickly reminds him that he can't do this at the moment. He sighs and drops back down, ensuring that the air pocket is tight again, No, he mustn't let Marty suffer for his foolishness.
"I'll check in the morning. After we've had the opportunity to rest...I've certainly made this a more stressful day than it should've been. But tomorrow? Barring another extreme snowfall, tomorrow we should have some fun."
He clasps his hands in front of himself. They're still a little cold, but the blanket bubble is helping greatly. Soon he'll be warm enough to be comfortable.
no subject
"Yeah, that sounds nice," Marty says while stifling a yawn. He didn't want to admit it, but he was already getting pretty tired. Still snuggling further into the blanket, it wasn't really hard to tell that he was fatigued.
"I really missed this,"
no subject
"Missed what? Being dragged along into another one of my mishaps? Because I've got more where this came from," he teased fondly, drowsiness creeping up on his face.
no subject
"It's not that, I just missed doing stuff like this," a pause, before quickly adding "I mean, not specifically this but I like hanging out with you,"
no subject
He nods. "I know what you mean. I love Clara and my boys, but my family just isn't complete without you. I don't think I'll be leaving you behind again."
Which means, of course, being careful with the time machine. A tall order, but he can manage it. He smiles up as he settles down.
"So, after we explore the snow..how about a summer getaway?" Oh boy. There he goes again.
no subject
"That'd be great. I've had enough coldness for one lifetime," Of course, his complete willingness to go might change once he's well rested, but at least you've convinced him for right now!
no subject
He still keeps a (relatively) comfortable distance, but turns to address Marty for a few minutes. He figures he probably doesn't have long here.
"That's what I was hoping to do when I first built the machine...pleasurable and educational trips, just the two of us. It never exactly panned out that way, but I have all the time I need, hm?"
