Pepper is certainly used to being presented with many gifts by friends and colleagues, so though he still feels that underlying compulsion to not accept so many kind gestures from him, Pepper just smiles and inclines his head. He cannot deny the gifts, not from this man. He seems like the sort who does this kind of thing rather often, anyway.
