[Terminal Tokyo] Reunion Log

[You have awoken with a strange feeling of heaviness overtaking your entire body. For some reason, your first instinct isn't to panic as you find yourself in an unfamiliar place, far away from home...or perhaps not as unfamiliar as you think. Some of you draw your hands almost instinctively to your necks, fingertips tracing the cord there until you're tugging something from beneath your clothing. Suddenly, you remember everything as you stare at the Crest in your hand.
You have returned.

The city is completely put together, calm and tranquil, exactly as it most likely might have been the first time you saw it. Mysterious yet equally familiar creatures happily roam the streets, excited chatter buzzing as more and more Chosen begin to wake up. Everyone seems to be filing to a massive building near the center of the city, easily identifiable by the dome shaped roof it bares.

You make your way there, arriving surrounded by those you know and those you don't. Inside the building, the little creatures line every wall and some are perched on bleachers that surround the huge atrium. You stagger inside, breathless as your eyes instinctively scan the walls for your partner. Your partners. Your friends. The reunion among human and creature alike is joyful.

Welcome back to the world of Digimon.]

((OOC: This is a reunion log post for all former members of Terminal Tokyo! You may treat this however you would like, no rules or stipulations. If you wanna explore the city go right ahead, or just stay in the atrium to catch up with old pals! As always please keep everything at a respectable level, pg-13 and all that. Otherwise though, you have free reign! Characters can have one or both partners, depending on their experiences, and can recall as much or as little as you like.

[He sighed through his nose, then, with a somewhat flat expression, he glanced toward Fluttershy and raised a questioning eyebrow, gesturing slightly with his chin toward another direction.]

[Glancing up at him, she smiled a bit and nodded.

As much as she loved her Digimon and wanted to catch up with them, she also wanted some of this time with Chris.]

[He smiled and took gentle hold of her wrist, heading off for one of the doors that left the atrium.

Though Nes started to follow him he was stopped by Sylvia, holding a paw out in front of him and looking at him, shaking her head with a smile.]

[Sprout also started to follow after, but stopped when Choco held her back, letting Fluttershy and Chris head off alone.]

[As they passed from busy room into secluded, quieter space, he slid his hand down her wrist until he was holding her hand, and after a moment he twined his fingers together with hers, giving her a sidelong smile.]

[She glanced up at him, surprised at first. But it quickly melted to a warm smile as she gently squeezed his hand.]

[He returned the squeeze, walking with her until they found a stairwell, the din in the atrium a dull, background murmur. He released her hand so he could use both of his to catch himself as he turned and sat down, keeping one foot braced on the stair just beneath him and the other resting two steps down. Scooting over a little, he smiled at her and patted the spot beside him.]

[She smiled, folding her wings in as she sat beside him.

Then, hesitating for a moment, she carefully scooted a teensy bit closer to him, glancing up at him as she did.]

[He smiled, and then for just a moment the smile twisted-

And he circled an arm around her, pulling her toward him somewhat abruptly.]

[She stiffened just a bit, glancing up at him in surprise...

Even as she leaned into him, nestling against his side.]

[He relaxed, closing his eyes for a moment and smiling.

Their time together had been frought with many difficulties, more worries than he could count and a lot of doubt and uncertainty... But after seeing her again and remembering what was there, suddenly none of that mattered anymore.

And all he wanted, here and now, was to stay like this forever.]

[She smiled as well, closing her eyes as she rested her head on his shoulder.

Even after being back home, she had never met anyone who made her feel the way he did. And even if it was only temporary, she was glad that she had this chance to be here with him again.]

I really missed you, Fluttershy. I always kinda felt a little lacking, and I think that was about this place on the whole, and the friends I made here, but then part of that... part of that's for you.

Mm...I know what you mean...Even being back home, it always felt like something was missing...Like a dream you sort of remembered bits and pieces of, but couldn't really think of any more...

[She glanced up at him with a small smile as she gently squeezed his hand again.] And I really missed you too...

Yeah, exactly. And if it was like that for us, I bet it was like that for other Chosen, too.

[He looked down at their hands, smiling.] I really like being here with you.

[She nodded, threading her fingers with his.] Mm...even if it's only for a while...I'm glad I'm getting to see you again...

Me too.

[He sighed through his nose, thoughtfully.] I don't want to forget again.

[She nodded, her grip on his hand tightening just a bit.] Mm...B-But...if we go home again...we might...

[It was too hard to think about. What was the point of being sent back here again, just to forget it all once more?]

[He had been thinking along those same lines. Maybe there was something more to this.]

Well... [Moving so he was sitting up on his own, he took hold of his Crest and held it, tilting it slightly so light flashed across the surface.]

Maybe there's some way to prevent forgetting. Just have to figure out how to do it.

...You really think so?

Well, let's look at it this way. When we went home, the memories went away, right? But when we came back, so did they. It's like rather than them being erased, there was just a mental block of some kind, a detachment from the Digital World.

If we can find a way to bypass that block we oughta be able to keep the memories.

But...how can we stop something that just...happens?

I'm not sure. It'd be better if there were just a way to... portal between the different worlds but, s'far as I know, there isn't.

[He thought a moment, then dug into his pocket, pulling out his D-Stream.] Back home, I was doing my own thing when I suddenly felt this in my pocket, almost like it slid in on its own. And when I looked at it... I remembered.

Now, I'm not saying I secretly had it all along and then it just popped up. It's more like it manifested itself. But it showed that they can exist outside this world. Just need to figure out a way to keep it with us.

Is...that how it happened for you? I didn't...remember anything until I came back here.

But then...I didn't get my D-Stream back either...not until I got here...

[Why was it different for some people?]

Really? Strange... [He stared at it thoughtfully, murmuring in his throat.]

I wonder what it was like for some of the others. There may be something in that.
