"So have I. It'll be sunshine and daisies after tonight," Doc reluctantly admits, though he's already starting to forget the chill. Spending this time with Marty has warmed his heart---not physically, but close enough.

He still keeps a (relatively) comfortable distance, but turns to address Marty for a few minutes. He figures he probably doesn't have long here.

"That's what I was hoping to do when I first built the machine...pleasurable and educational trips, just the two of us. It never exactly panned out that way, but I have all the time I need, hm?"
