[By the time the weeks had droned on into months, the fact of motives being intermittently forced on the remaining students had almost become routine. Wake up on Tuesday, head down to the hotel and on to the kitchen for breakfast, and expect for Monobear to be summoning everyone for yet another announcement of something terrible he had cooked up for the island's inhabitants. A bit of monologue and sinister laughter later, Monobear informed them all that a portion of their remaining numbers were due to fall mysteriously ill until the next murder occurred.
Nothing happened for the next few hours as everyone went their separate ways to try to live life on the island as....normal as one could in a situation like this. Around noon, the symptoms began to arise. A ringing in someone's ear, increasingly blurred vision for someone else, and yet another person experiencing difficulties in getting their voice to work properly for them. Most of the students were feeling ill affects, and some not at all. The sicknesses seemed to go to the fullest degree, too- you were either fully debilitated in some area, or you were perfectly fine otherwise.
The same was true for Jimmy, who happened to be one of the unfortunate students to fall in the category of "sick" for the week. He had gone to his cabin early on, wanting to really just keep to himself for a little bit to wait to see what happened, while at the same time being near enough to other cabins to call out for help if he needed to. Everything happened rather apruptly; the lighting in his cabin seemed to grow progressively dark, objects and pieces of furniture growing impossible to make out. Eventually he could no longer make sense of his hand in front of his face, which prompted him to get up and find the dimly lit white rectangle that was the open doorway.
By the time he made it there with his hands on the frame, everything went totally dark, leaving him turning his head frantically this way and that, his free hand reaching up to scrub at his eyes. He could feel Cerbee at his feet, whining and rubbing his head against his ankles.]
H-hey! Heloise! ...Roxy, are you there?
[Heloise wasn't nearby, and unfortunately Roxy wasn't aware she was being spoken to, mostly because her hearing had been lost just a few moments prior. Eventually he gives up trying to get someone's attention, sortof just...standing in the doorway, helpless to do nothing but stay still in what he perceives as total darkness. Ever the loyal thing, thankfully, Cerbee hops past Jimmy's feet and into the sand, quickly scurrying away from the cabins and off to wherever someone else might be whose attention he could catch.]
HELLO sorry I couldn't not, let's go DRP 1 style | 1
